Assegnati ieri sera gli NME Awards 2008 (nella foto Kate Nash, miglior artista solista), riconoscimento dato dal popolare magazine UK agli artisti e agli album del 2007. I premi sono sempre tantissimi, mentre la fantasia come sempre scarseggia tra i premiati, infatti sono ancora una volta gli Arctic Monkeys a portarsi a casa tre premi pesanti (miglior band inglese, miglior canzone con Fluorescent Adolescent e miglior video con Teddy Picker). Molto meglio è andata invece con altri premi assegnati a Control (il bel film sulla vita di Ian Curtis), la miglior live band che sono i Muse, la miglior canzone da ballare è Let's Dance To Joy Division dei Wombats, mentre il miglior album è quello dei Klaxons "Myths Of The Near Future".
